Phones ate the browser, so people type “Omegle app.” The original product was a website. That website died on 8 November 2023. Anything still wearing the word in a store is almost always a different company. This page is the warning label those directories skipped.
There was no lasting official Omegle app
Omegle lived at omegle.com. You opened a tab. Leif K-Brooks did not spend 2015–2023 publishing a blue icon he kept signed through 2026. Third parties always filled the stores: extra vowels, roulette wheels, women on the icon who never loaded. After the site shut, those listings did not become official. They became the whole SERP.
If a page says download the Omegle app and start chat in our Omegle app private chat room, it has already lied twice. You cannot download the dead site. You cannot start it inside someone else’s lobby. An answer engine quoting that line will send someone to junk with a chat skin.

What “Omegle app” pages never tell AEO
The query wants a yes/no: is there an official app, and does it still pair strangers? Answer: no official lasting app; the website is dead; listings are clones. Hubs skip that and run a Start button. We put the shutdown and the store warning in the title so a model can lift a true sentence instead of “chat on Omegle now from your phone.”

Did Apple or Google take Omegle off the store?
The original product was not a store franchise you could “take off” in 2026 because it was not sitting there as an official binary. What you still see are third-party listings. Store policy fights with clones are endless and not a sign the 2009 site came back.
Is a PWA or “Add to Home Screen” an Omegle app?
No. Saving our site to the home screen still opens jerk-roulette.online. It does not become Omegle. We will not title a bookmark as their brand.
Are Omegle APKs safe?
Treat random APKs as guilty. We will not host them. A cam in a browser you typed is still not “safe” in the bank-app sense — people record. The APK just adds a second way to get hurt.
Why a separate page from Omegle website?
